So what is EntreCard and how does it work? Well, it boils down to this. Entrecard is a system provides a small widget that when placed on your blog allows you to connect to other bloggers by visiting their blogs and dropping your cards.
Entrecard is very good source of traffic , especially for new blogs. The main purpose of Entrecard is a tool to make interaction with other bloggers and drop your card on the widget installed on the blog to show that you’ve visited that blog. Every time you drop your card you’ll get a credit and, the most important part is, you tell someone that your blog exist. Well EntreCard is a bloggers dream come true (well sort of). It is sort of a virtual business card with a back end for advertising.
Basically you show banners for other sites and earn credits that let you “buy’ banners on other sites. While most of these blogs charge you money to put your banner on their blog, using Entrecard is a way that you can get your ad on their blog for free. There is only one ad shown on the widget, so that’ll get your ad more attention.
The EntreCard it self lets the user to drop 300 drops a day. That means you can get 300ec per day and you might also get more from the one who reply your drop back. I find that EntreCard is great for driving traffic if I put the effort into the drops. Even without an extensive dropping effort.
Doing more drops will get you more credits, more people to drop on your blog. Make hundreds of drops and you will attract hundreds of other mass droppers. You can use your credits to buy advertisement placement on other blogs for 24 hours via credits…no cash is exchanged. If accepted by the blogger.
Setting up an account with Entrecard is straightforward. A valid email account is the only requirement to be member of the site.
